Happy Birthday Nathan!

Yeah for your own changing oil equip
Happy family

Curious of the BIG present

So excited!

Happy Birthday to the man in my life. I am so grateful and blessed to have such a great husband and partner in my life. He is the greatest dad to Audrey, he loves to play with her and spend as much time with her as he can. I knew he would be a great dad, but didn't realize he would be even better than I expected. People always comment on never seeing a dad as involved in the childcare of their child as he is. He is always so giving, thoughtful and loving. He is also very fun and loves a little challenge, especially when it comes to fixing things. I am so grateful to be able share my life and family with him and love him very much. Here is to another great year at the great age of 24!

For Nathan's birthday. We were lucky to be able to spend it with his family, where his mom made him the seven layer nacho dip and his dad gave him a new oil change equipment- Yeah! Best part was they watched Audrey for our first overnight. My mom had a voucher for the Courtyard Marriott in St.George, so we went there for a little nice night get away. Thanks mom and Lisa!

This was kind of a crazy Christmas. I always thought how nice it is to live close to both families then you get the best of both worlds. But I realized, you just get shared time and experience and you don't get as much quality time with the family. So we spent our wild Christmas Eve night with my family and then headed over to spend Christmas Day and dinner with the Gublers in Diamond Valley. It was a lovely day, Spencer called from Brazil I think around 11, he was on skype and we were able all to talk to him and see him on the TV.  And then since it was a Sunday we all went to church, and then hung out for a bit and ate a yummy meal. It was fun to see what Santa brought and just to catch up and hang out. And Grandma and Grandpa Gubler joined us for dinner as well. I remember we played one of my favorite games, Rummingcube, however Grandma Gubler is a stickler with the rules, so it wasn't as fun as I remember :) We then stopped by my mom's for a little bit, it was fun too. It was fun to spend a little more time with Reagan and LeNae, and eat the yummy Carmel corn pops my mom makes. So here's the first Gubfield Christmas. I think we are going to try to simplify and focus on one family each year... we'll see how that goes.

Our Happy festive Family
Christmas Eve was always a big event in my family's household because of course it was the beloved first child's birthday. So we always had a dual celebration. We always had a grand dinner, desert, nativity program and opening of the one present of brand new pj's, and of course the older kids stayed up and watched, "How to support your local sheriff," random Christmas tradition I know. Well, it started out with good intentions, and we had dinner, but instead of a nativity it become a talent competition between the kids, with piano playing, telling stories, dancing and singing to of course the most appropriate, Black Eye peas music for this special christian holiday. It was just kind of a crazy and very diverse Christmas Eve. Then my lone brother Reagan we kept waiting for him to show up, literally shows up the 11th hour and told us he almost didn't come... oh so sad... it kind of was not the ideal Christmas, but it was still Christmas Eve and at least we all had each other. We were too tired to even stay up for the movie, so we headed back to our place to sleep. So it was my first time not sleeping over as a group- I guess it's time for me to grow up. Anyways, back to Roger, he has always been a great and supportive older brother and sure glad he was born and a part of my family.

Finally meeting Aunt Lana

So my old roommate from NYC was coming into town, and hosting a Christmas party for all the fellow New Yorkers at her place in Salt Lake City. Well loving a good old reunion and always looking for reasons to come up north to visit friends, we jumped on the opportunity. So we got to stay at my mom's nice apartment downtown. We met up with my good girl friends from Provo to celebrate my friend Angela's birthday, non other than the classy Texas Road house. It was fun to see everyone and for everyone to finally met Audrey and do our tradition, head over to Angela's place to chill and talk. We then got to spend some time with mom (she was up there for a family party) and Reagan at the apartment, ate at Market Street Grill for breakfast. Met up with Reagan and LeNae for lunch- LeNae was way busy with working. Then went to the New York Party that night. It was fun to see some familiar faces, I hoping more would attend. But it's always good to see an old friend. It's just kind of hard when I am kind of in a different stage- but they were all so cool and gracious to welcome me as usual. Then we got to see and catch up with my good old friend and blood sister Lana Neilson, Nathan only met her at our wedding, so it was fun to get more acquainted and catch up on life since we hadn't seen each other for awhile. We always have such great chats, even if it was for a few hours at Zupa's or somewhere like that on 4th south. Then we left the winter wonderland back down to the warm southern utah.
