Falling in love with the Fall!

I love this time of year, especially in Utah, speaking specifically of Salt Lake and Logan. It is so filled with rich fall colors of orange and brown. Such a nice break from the city lights in the desert of Vegas. I was able to take a flight to SLC the first weekend in November for my cousin Tyler's wedding. I was able to go to the Regina Spector concert with my good friend Nate and my sister Lenae... so fun, brought back to the good old days of Indie concert attending in the NYC. Then the next day my family and I made our way to Logan for my cousins wedding and at the temple, I ran into an old co-worker from Alpine Summit, Dianne... it was fun and nostolgic.... so good to catch up with family members:)

H-A-L-L-O-W-E-E-N

From Harvest Fest Country Bumpkin to a hard core Halloween Rock Star, let's just say I lived it up this Halloween!! So at my cute job at the special needs school, I was a cute country bumpkin being the judge of the dance contestant and helped with the coin toss and other such sophomoric activities.... then for the Halloween weekend... my friend Amy and I ventured off to the greater Salt Lake Area for a good time going to dinner at Thaiphoon at the Gateway with some friends, then seeing the dance odyssey club, Thriller production. Then on Halloween we had a smashing Halloween party at my mom's rockin apartment in downtown SLC... it was way fun to reconnect with old friends and playing the traditional Mafia to add some spice to the party... except when my own mafia member try to accuse me off the bat... such a traitor!!!! Don't worry... he knows who he is :)

Going Home!

Since moving back to the Southwest, it makes it very convenient to go home a lot. My mom claims I come home too much to avoid my life in Vegas, which might have some validity to it, however I am still going to take advantage of being so close to home, especially since I lived on the other side of the country and Southern Utah is one of the most beautiful and tranquil places on the planet, so I am going to soak up some of the beauty it has to offer and enjoy the company of my family as well. I went home one weekend to support my mom and friend Amy in running the St. George Marathon. Celebrated a few birthdays and other fun stuff like my sister Loni and her cute four little boys visiting from Ohio :)

Grandparents 60th Wedding Anniversay

My maternal grandparents celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Sept. 19th. We all rented a huge cabin with like 20 bedrooms in Bear Lake and did the typical Peart Reunion with games, activities, sharing talents and memories. It was a lot of fun to see a lot of my cousins who I have not seen since I moved to NY and see many new additions to the family as well :) How I love Bear Lake, it brings back so many great family memories.
