An uneventful Halloween

Addy's 10th Birthday!

It was Audrey’s first Halloween. And she did look really cute in her ladybug costume. But after the Halloween bash, we were kind of partied out, and not that we had any invites. So we pretty much hang out at my mom’s. My niece and newphew's were there for a bit, it was Addy's 10th birthday (we realized she is ten years older than Audrey. And I am 20 years older than Addy and 30 years older than Audrey, goes in decades I guess...). Then we were entertained by watching a few people show up to trick or treat, and being the unique individual she is and always trying to stand out from the crowd. She decided to give out string cheese sticks instead, we had fun making fun of her. But it was a hit and actually probably a  more desirable treat. We then tried to be festive by watching a scary movie. We looked on netflicks and options were scarce. But there was a Mary Higgins Clark novel turned to movie. Can’t remember the name, but it was pretty lame, but at least we attempted to be festive....

Lichfield Halloween Party. So after visiting with my Aunt Ranae. She talked about how she has an annual Halloween Party for her grandkids. She told us of the games she plays and how much she loves Halloween. So it gave me an idea. I am one always up for a party.  So I got the ball going. We had a place for it in the gym and multi-purpose room. So I enlisted all my family members to get involved. Tavia helped me host it and set up the food. My mom was in charge of the witches brew, and Robbie was in charge of setting up a back drop and taking pictures with his nice camera. It was really fun and a great excuse to get together with old friends. We’ll see if we’ll make it an annual tradition like my Aunt Ranae…. :)

Meeting the Greats!

On our way back from Randolph we had to pay one last visit to another very significant person in our life and Audrey's as well. We visited Great Grandpa Jones, Nathan's maternal grandfather, who just moved from Alpine to American Fork. We were able to visit for a bit with him and his wife Mary. How much we love Grandpa Jones and it was the last Great Grandparent for Audrey to finally meet and he was quite excited. As was she :)

It was time to make a visit to my Grandma Peart or Grandma Love as we nickname her. It had been a little over a year since my grandfather passed away and I had yet made my annual visit to Randolph. Also she was excited to see Audrey and felt bad she was unable to attend her blessing (though she crocheted her a beautiful white blanket for the occasion). So my mom told me she would take us up to visit her and her sister Ranae, who is going through Kemo therapy for Breast Cancer, second sister of my mom's to be diagnoised, don't worry about it. So for Nathan's Fall Break, we were able to go and stop over at RaNae's and three of her six children happened to stop by at the same time. It's always a party with the Westons. Such a fun and solid family. RaNae has always been a great example to me of love, service and devotion. She has always been the kind of mother I hope and would like to esteem to be. My mom's family always makes fun of her kids for always being over at her house. But she just has that draw to people, you just want to be around her. So I wouldn't blame her kids and it's a compliment of the kind of person and mother she is. Needless to say we had a good time just visiting for a bit.

Then we headed up to Randolph. Roger and Tavia came up as well, so it made it a bigger party, which is always fun. They and Nathan went horseback riding and hung out at the Ranch. While I hung out with the Peart Ladies, we looked at old scrapbooks and keepsakes of my grandma and do what you always do at my grandparents, sit around and chat in the small den, that was covered with my grandpa's Knick Knacks and pictures. It made me miss my grandpa and it wasn't quite the same without him. My grandma seemed to be doing well though. She loves to be a homemaker and she's good at it, and still quite independent. I hope if I am in the same situation she is at that time of my life, I have the gumption and attitude she does to keep living her life with productivity and purpose. We then had took the opporturnity to take Four Generations Pictures. It worked out nicely to have all of us being girls. Also Audrey's middle name Maud, was named after mine which is named after my grandma's mother. So it was kind of neat :)

Audrey's Two Months old!

Here's to two months of life with Audrey. Still late night and middle of night feedings, but getting more "used" to it. Love this little girl. Just waiting for a little smile from our little one....
