Happy Turkey Day. Being a newly wed couple in a new house in Las Vegas, and my time to host a family gathering was way overdue, so we hosted the Lichfield Family Thanksgiving at our house. If you know my family, you know this is no small task with seven children and 10 grandchildren, divorce parents and a partridge in a pear tree. However we were able to pull it off. Loni and her family did not come out due to Todd's hectic work schedule, so that knocked off 4 of the ten children, however we still did miss them. And then my brother Reagan was unable to come as well, he said he had work....ummm... sounds suspicious. So now we are down to five children, we were able to have dear and close family friend Tala and Jeremy Covington and their darling children, Kavika and Malia. And my good friend from work, Melissa was able to attend as well. We had fun going shopping the night before at Costco. We then woke up and we all had assignments of what to make, it all went rather smoothly. It was a little chilly outside, but the kids were needing to get some of all their energy out and my house not being the most kid friendly house, we were able to walk to the great park in our neighborhood and played a fun game of Redrover. We then returned back and made it for the debut showing of "Tangled" it was rather cute and entertaining. It was fun to spend some quality time with my family, especially one last holiday before my mom re-married.

Jubilee of Love... I mean Trees.

Every year my mom is on the hospital board to help out with the Jubilee of Trees. Where she probably helps out the most is by actually buying this overpriced trees for a good cause. This year, it was promoting better equipment and accessibility to find Breast Cancer faster. So my mother invited her Breast Cancer Survivor sister Vera, and they all wore pink, I missed the memo, or reality was didn't really have anything pink, so I played it safe wearing cream. This also was an emotionally heighten night, we knew something was up with my mom, every year she buys at least two trees, this year, she didn't buy one! She did manage to buy the week in Lake Powell on a house boat, which we are all grateful for. But we only resulted to the fact of her bizzar behavior on nothing else, but she was in love. Yes, my mom had her first serious boyfriend since my parents divorce. I won't lie, it was a bit weird. I like the guy, super nice, treats her well and a fun loving sense of humor. He gets along well with my family, but the future will only tell....

Glamorous ER.

So don't worry about it.  I get sick here and there just like everyone else, except I did contract mono once, and not even by kissing someone. And I did break my foot long boarding, and walked on it for a week, because the health clinic at my college said it was just sprang. And there was that time I had a bunnonectomy with the research study program and was locked in their facility for a week, but they treated me well, with food and movies and big fat check at the end. So there you have it, all of my health history. But I had a rough couple of days beginning of November, on my way to work I got a strong pain in my stomach, and so I had to call in sick and go to Urgentcare, they tested me and gave me some prescriptions but couldn't deduce what the problem was. Then couple days later, I got a really strong pain, and it was at night, so we headed to the ER. $150 dollars poorer, and wasted 3 hours, didn't find much either. Let's just say "It was a learning experience" if your going to suffer, might as well be richer and in your own home rather than the ER, unless it is literally life threatening... but maybe I am just bitter.
